Words will not do it justice. Last night's party, celebrating our ten-year anniversary, took things to the next level, bringing together New York's most iconic parties from the past decade; that’s Club Luxx, Misshapes, GHE20 GOTH1K, SMITHS SWAY NIGHT + The Hole, Clubber Down Disco, and 1992 in the same damn place, at the same damn time!
Paul Sevigny and Leo Fitzpatrick kicked off the night with some Morrissey and Smiths selections—a nod to Sway (still the best Sunday night party in New York) and legendary dance party, The Hole. Down in the studio, Venus X and $hayne's party, Ghe20 Goth1k, went hard, while up in the ballroom the Misshapes party of 2003 came back to life, led by Leigh Lezark, Geordon Nicol, Greg Krelenstein, and Sophia Lamar. Up in the balcony lounge, Ladyfag and co. gave us all disco fever! At the stroke of midnight, house music legend Larry Tee began his Club Luxx set as balloons and confetti fell from the rafters, followed by live performances from Le1f, Princess Superstar, and MDPC. Oscar Sanchez and Va$htie's 1992 party followed, featuring BRENMAR on the decks and DEEMEHLOW as MC, playing amazing hip-hop track you love and have PROBABLY FORGOTTEN.
But all these legends were the pre-game: Just after 2am, the Queen Bee, Lil’ Kim, busted onto the stage with "How Many Licks" and "Crush on You," to name just two, even throwing some curve balls with "We Found Love" by RiRi and "Pop That" by French Montana.
