New York is on fire with art fairs at the moment! THE WHITNEY BIENNIAL, the BRUCENNIAL, SPRING/BREAK, Scope, Fountain Arts Fair, and the Armory (stay tuned for our review) are all open for business. It’s kinda overwhelming, but we mustn’t take it for granted—having the work of some of the world’s most exciting and emerging artists at your finger tips (not literally, no touching) is never a bad thing. I dropped by the art fair INDEPENDENT yesterday. Only in it’s third year, the temporary exhibition was conceived by Elizabeth Dee and Darren Flook. There are over 43 participating galleries including 47 Canal, GAVIN BROWN’S ENTERPRISE, Andrew Kreps, and Elizabeth Dee. My favorite pieces below!
INDEPENDENT is up through March 11th.
