This afternoon we watched as Jeremy Scott "hacked the planet" via the debut of his totally l33t Fall/Winter 2012 collection. I don’t know what excited me more, the Lisa Frank sticker-adorned corset, the Bart Simpson-printed knit sweater, or the Left Eye circa “Aint 2 Proud 2 Beg”-style technicolored mushroom hat. Is there an emoticon for nostalgia? As a member of the first generation to grow up with the Internet, I feel some sense of entitlement when I say that Jeremy owned the cooler fascinations of my youth. However, I do have to say that the AOL dial up tone music that opened the show gave me slight PTSD.
Once again, the casting of über cute boys (Hi, Dudley) made me want to get all “A/S/L?” backstage after the show but, alas, there was work to be done.
