"A contemporary riviera look with a sports motif running through," is how Yasmin Kianfar describes her Spring/Summer collection of pristine whites and laser-cut dresses. To illustrate, the designer e-mailed us from London with some of the images that inspired her.

Ranging from magazine spreads of paired-down 90s sportswear and paparazzi shots of Lauren Hutton, to vintage photographs of 1920s tennis clubs, the selection is about athletic clothes so elegant that "they were hardly really sporty." Translated into Yasmin's signature mesh and silk, this turns into matching shorts and tops with scalloped edges, racerback jumpsuits, and modern cut-out dresses in sparkling tennis white.
