Repossi Fall/Winter 2014: Paris Fashion Week

Last night inside the Jeu de Paume Musuem of Contemporary Art in Paris, jewelry heiress Gaia Repossi presented her Fall/Winter 2014 collection with a pairing of sushi and sake. Each one of Repossi's alluring pieces was displayed like a rare specimen that belonged in the museum's permanent collection. Under the lights each style shimmered while simultaneously casting a shadow that looked like a graceful pen and ink drawing. The presentation method was very deliberate: Repossi took inspiration from the purist architectural movement and artist Alexander Calder to create jewelry that mimics sculpture. The name of the collection, "White Noise," succinctly describes the pieces, crafted to resemble dainty, elegant scribbles. But as per usual with Repossi, these pieces won't fade into the background. Signature necklaces, cuffs, ear cuffs, and rings were made in various colors of golds and silver—including a vibrant pink—embellished with carefully placed diamonds that glisten like rays of light bouncing off the skin.
