Lea Peckre Fall/Winter 2014: Paris Fashion Week

Sheer fabrics always impart a phantasmic quality to a garment—the way they move and drape seems otherworldly compared to most textiles. This quality was taken to its full potential during the Léa Peckre pour Maison Lejaby Fall/Winter 2014 collection. The collaboration between the French lingerie line and the Belgian designer was a match made in layering heaven. Long, see-through bodysuits were pleated at the waist for a geometric "print" or given volumetric peplums by piling fabric on top of fabric. Curves were emphasized with figure-hugging shapes and asymmetrical draping (one topcoat left the model's leg up to her hip exposed: Angelina Jolie would approve). Like Léa's premier collection at OC, the collaboration featured plays on opacity and unique edging. Despite the strict use of light toned neutrals, this collection was anything but middle-of-the-road—it's feminine, ethereal, in control, and downright sexy.
