OC x NYFW: N. Hoolywood SS14

Inside the beautiful High Line Hotel chairs were arranged in a maze to serve as runway for the N. Hoolywood show "Two Gun Hart." When the show started, music that sounded like the instrumental track for a TV Western played while long-haired, bearded men walked out showing off a very Wild West-inspired collection. Bandanas and Stetson hats, embossed saddle bags, and short cowboy boots served as accessories for clean-cut clothes. All the usual suspects were there: slim trousers, shorts, vests, denim jackets, and, of course, suiting. A subdued color palette of mint, light blue, grey, and red allowed the details on the garments to really shine. The attention to detail is what sets N. Hoolywood apart, like the barely-there studs on a leather jacket or collar points, and the full-on dedication to the cowboy fantasy that inspired the collection. A personal favorite was the denim and leather varsity jacket, a pastel dream in light blue and mint. There's a new sheriff in town, and he is head-to-toe in N. Hoolywood.
