Lovebox Festival 2013

OC London sales associate Toni gives us the rundown from this year's Lovebox music festival in London.

A weekend of glorious sunshine, lots of dancing, and lots of alcoholic slushies––what more could a girl want? East London's Victoria Park was flooded with festival-goers last weekend, for three days of frolicking and fun. Julio Bashmore, Gold Panda, Flying Lotus, and the main attraction, Azealia Banks, were some of Friday night's highlights. All across the Park, girls and boys united in booty shaking to "212." (Banks took the stage by storm just days after finishing her new album, and her neon and white cyber jumpsuit made for an audio-visual treat.)

Saturday picked up where Friday left off (for most Lovebox-ers, this was probably around 6am). AlunaGeorge, whose "White Noise" remix was the peak of the Disclosure boys' DJ set on Friday night, had everyone moving their feet on Day 2. Splashh's psychedelic sound added a nice laid-back twist to the line up. Unfortunately, our girl Lil' Kim pulled out last minute on Sunday, but with Jodie Harsh, Kelis, and Zebrakatz wrapping up the festival, we couldn't be too upset with Queen Bee being M.I.A. Thank you, Lovebox!
