Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe's latest show Stray Light Grey opened last week at Marlborough Gallery in Chelsea. Again, Freeman and Lowe push the limits of art with an exhibition that's a full-fledged 4-D experience.

At first, you walk through a daedalus of built rooms––all of them different, unexpected, and some very strange (one is a plastic surgeon's operating room, another dusty-looking room of electronics and circuit boards covered in salt crystals feels like the inside of an exploded machine). Wandering through these environments, you discover weird objects here and there, on the walls and in the drawers that visitors are invited to peer into. "[All of the objects] all for sale," explains Jonah. "It took us six weeks to build and produce everything in the gallery, but it took us much more time to come up with the ideas behind the installation."

On the second floor of the gallery if a classical gallery space where objects like silver-glazed cactuses, acid-washed mirrors, cartoonesque towels stretched on canvas, and psychedelic collages among other things are displayed. The artforms are limitless, and the show is an exciting continuation of the experience the artists ignited with their ground-breaking exhibition Hello Meth Lab in the Sun.
