I can't speak for Paris Hilton, Grimes, Tyra Banks, Swizz Beats, or Swizz and Alicia’s baby (who were all in attendance), but in my eyes, Jeremy Scott's Arab Spring 2013 show was right on the (Arab) Money. Runway soundtrack maven Michel Gaubert set the score with a well-suited run of Y2K Timbaland tracks that lent perfectly to the Middle East meets hip-hop styling of the collection. And just like that infectious Egyptian ditty that opens "Big Pimpin’," Jeremy's re-contextualized East-meets-West felt so right!
This meant baseball tee-dresses for the ladies in baby blue snakeskin, styled with matching thigh-highs, and mock-croc basketball shorts with mock-croc gun harnesses for the boys. Matchy-matchy New Era caps completed every look—even styled over a sequined burqa. This is definitely how you do Dubai.
