OC x NYFW: William Okpo SS13

For their SS13 William Okpo collection, OC's favorite sisterly duo Lizzy and Darlene Okpo delivered their trademark laid-back, New York street cool in a tight, spring-ready color palette of blue and clementine. There were polka dots, pointy collars, braided chord touches, and quite a bit of flaring, and the models wearing it all (OC shopgirls Nina and Heidi among them!) stood cooly on a bright African fruit market-inspired set, strewn with oranges and earthy topsoil, conceived by OC's own Elise.

But taking the cake by far (and I'm not talking about the absurdly delicious bite-sized cupcakes from Meg's Sweet Treats, baked in flavors inspired by the collection's color motif) was the footwear. Done in collaboration with Herbert Schier of Schier shoes, the handmade shoes incorporated denim and see-through neon plastics, setting Instagram and Twitter ablaze throughout the night. When asked to describe the collection in six words or less, Lizzy firmly replied, "Sophisticated, coolness, smooth, super ego." We're feelin' that. Big ups to the Okpo ladies, OC loves you!
