I'm not saying that first impressions aren't important, but I will say that a perfectly executed exit can be very effective. Production Artisinale's new pieces all look excellent from behind. The French line, headed by former Hermès tailor Quentin Nghiem specializes in patchworked construction, and the fall collection demonstrates this most clearly when caught in your rearview mirror. Quentin's cotton jersey sweaters are sewn from geometric panels joined by precise butterfly seams. At the back of the raw jean sweater, for example, a slim yoke crosses the lines of the raglan sleeves, while the biker SLEEVE hoodie features elbow patches made from finely pleated jersey. But, if you really want to storm out of a room, the veiled harness hoodie is your piece, equipped with serious leather covered in a layer of fine mesh.
