Sunday marks the closing of the 2012 Summer Games. By now, the major events have all been won and lost, but the question left hanging in the air: who takes the fashion gold? Let's take a minute to look back at some of the unsung sporting stars of 2012: Aliya Mustafina's hair glitter, the Czech Republic's wellies, the Russian synchronized swim team's Michael Jackson-print swimsuits, Sanya Richards-Ross' nails, and, of course, Ryan Lochte's grill. While they may not have scored medals, they're winners in our eyes. So here is a very OC tribute to our favorite pieces—but the competition isn't over until the Spice Girls have sung.

In the fashion Olympics, synchronized swimming takes the gold every time. Here, the Russian team wear glittery doll swimsuits and rhinestone hair bows.
