Tired of toting along the same old chips and beer to your summer picnics and rooftop parties? Fear not! "Wet Hot OC Summer" is upping the ante with simple cocktail how-tos. This week, we chat to Maison Premiere in Williamsburg.

One sip of this beverage and you'll be transported back to the Prohibition era, especially if you follow Maxwell's advice and tote your cocktail in a swingtop bottle (stowing it in your bootstraps optional). No one would dare utter the words "cranberry vodka" at Maison Premiere: these mixologists are professionals. Read all about their four-step beach cocktail below.

Cocktail name:
Kings Negroni

Ingredients:
1 oz. of Plymouth Gin
1 oz. of Aperol
1 oz. of Punt e Mes
Method: See image captions

Potency (on a scale of 1-10): I would say somewhere between 7 and 9.
Words to describe the flavor: Bitter, sweet, aromatic, and refreshing.
Inspired by: The negroni
Best drunk where: At the beach! Get a couple swingtop glass bottles from the Container Store and make a batch to share, picnic style! Once you're done catching some rays, grab some cups and fill them with ice. Pour the mix over the ice and let it dilute and chill for a moment. Be sure you bring a paring knife and a few different types of citrus, depending on what type of twist you and your friends like.
Best paired with what food: It really is more of an aperitif but if you are eating and imbibing at the beach, stick with lightweight foods: melon, nuts, dried meats, and cheeses.
If this drink had soundtrack, what would it be? "Suede" by Action Bronson (ft. Meyhem Lauren, Shaz Illyork, Fonda & Machine)
Take it next level with: A bottle of Pierre Gimonnet Champagne
