Shinya Kozuka says Sayonara to Skinny

After almost a decade of skin-tight hell, can we stop pretending skinny jeans are cool? Difficult to put on, uncomfortable, and potentially threatening to the future of mankind itself, we think it’s time to relax a little, fit-wise. Case in point: recent Central Saint Martins grad Shinya Kozuka’s line of perfectly baggy cropped trousers. From hand-painted linen to raw-edged denim to abstract digital prints, the designer’s pants show that well-dressed doesn’t always mean super fitted.

In case styling a more wide-leg pant seems daunting to you, Kozuka has you covered in that department as well. His collection also features drop-sleeve tees, hand-painted coats, and laid-back button-downs to complete your expertly baggy look. If that doesn’t convince you to leave the meggings to boybanders and teens who just figured out that Joy Division was pretty cool, we don’t know what will.
