On those mornings when no outfit feels right, most of us have to deal with it or decide to go shopping. Rachel Comey, on the other hand, takes the gaps in her closet and uses them as inspiration for her collections, she revealed at her presentation for Resort 2014. Animal patterns and graphic prints adorn easy, feminine garments that you never knew you were missing—including a particularly wonderful tie-strap crop top and pair of high-waisted, slightly drop-crotch tapered trousers. (Fun tidbit: What looks like zebra stripes are actually that of the okapi, which is basically a striped short giraffe.) These pieces are so simple yet impeccable that it's hard to believe we never noticed their absence before. Rachel's Resort collection also debuted her first foray into swimwear, with beautiful, vintage-inspired bikinis and one-pieces in universally flattering shades. So even if you don't totally revamp your wardrobe this season, Rachel Comey's given us new classics to prevent those moments of, "I haven't got a stitch to wear."
