Ammerman Schlösberg's clothes are my 11-year-old self’s dream come true. Back then when I was obsessively battling my older brother at Mortal Kombat, I would have done anything to get my Nintendo controller hands on their gaming fantasy influenced designs. Though my video game playing days are (pretty much) over, the girl inside of me that lusted to be an action hero can’t help but get completely giddy over the duo's offerings for Fall/Winter 2014. The collection is the ultimate actualization of the virtual vixen, filled with video game, cosplay, and medieval references and topped off with their infamous LOL sensibility. Eric and Elizabeth told us, "The whole collection is inspired by the 'create-your-own, customize-your-own character' option in Soulcalibur and other games. And in that, we created a girl who on the surface is cute, naïve, and sweet but on a deeper level is dark, esoteric, and poisonous." The team shared exclusive images of the new collection below as well as details on which video game heroines inspired the looks. All of which reminds us that the Ammerman Schlösberg girl doesn't accessorize with a handbag––she carries a mace or a dagger.

"We were inspired by Marie Rose, a soon to be released character on Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Arcade. She's Swedish, a Gemini, and she enjoys sewing and watching horror movies. In addition to the fact that she's a Gothic Lolita Maid and has a nurse costume outfit change, we love her childlike naiveté and tough brattiness.
