ROKSANDA ILINCIC knows color. Each season, blocks of bold brights parade down the catwalk. For Roksanda Ilincic Fall/Winter 2014, the theme continued with strong geometric designs set against a backdrop by Gary Card, Roksanda's longtime set designer. Industrial pipes and crisp lines hinted at how the collection was to unfold. The show started with an array of looks in vivid cobalt and powder blue, broken up with giant metallic belts.
Roksanda has become known for her experimentation with color and lines, but this time was just as much about texture. Mixed fur and shearling coats in blocks of orange, red, and blue were some of the most startling pieces. As were the final looks: a selection of tops and dresses embellished with fantastic 3D sequins in circular and square shapes. The collection complimented the entire space, especially Gary's larger-than-life blue shapes that hung from the scaffolding. With Roksanda, we'll wear blue next winter, rather than feel it!
