Shalom Harlow was just about the only 90s reference in Alexander Wang’s Fall/Winter 2012 show on Saturday afternoon. Known for his grunge appeal, Wang made a sharp turn this season and added a coat of slick sheen over just about everything he touched. Leather jackets were glossed and molded into an armor-like shape and puffer jackets were quilted in leather. Spongy elbow-length gloves in optic white-and-black accompanied a majority of the looks, modeled by big names like Gisele, Karolina, and Carmen. Sound fancy? It was––in Wang’s own way, that is.
