Flicking through Confezioni Crosby's Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook reminds you of all the best bits of childhood vacations: paddling, riding bikes, flying kites, and existing in a time before deadlines and the Internet.
Against a backdrop of sunflower fields and Montauk jetties, pieces like candy-striped cotton overalls and waxed fisherman's jackets feel every bit as authentic as the workwear that inspired them. Designers Benedetta Antonelli and Jonathan Joory looked to the uniforms and aprons of female workers—they recently took a trip to Detroit and Chicago, which sparked the idea—but their palette of washed-out pastels and their delicate lace trims make the clothes anything but workaday.
