Some days, you want to pull out your fierce warrior side; other days, you may seek out a more demure style. JOOMI LIM gets that, so no matter how you're feeling that day, her signature spikes are there for you. I must admit, I drooled a little bit when I saw her resort jewelry metals themed around "Hard Candy" and "Modern Tribe." Of Hard Candy's pastel metals that pop against bright and shiny rhodium, Joomi said, "We wanted the color palette to immediately make you think of candy and sweets!" Mission accomplished.

On the opposite side of the spectrum are the strong, armor-like vibes of Modern Tribe. As the name implies, these pieces are influenced by tribal patterns, especially those of the Bedouins and the Aztecs. "But we wanted to make it a bit more special, so we put our own futuristic spin on it," Joomi said. The cut-outs seen on the cuffs and necklaces come from the intricate patterns on rugs and textiles, adding an ancient contrast to the decidedly space-age titanium-coated spikes. To bring together the modern and the primeval, an earthy burgundy titanium coating topped off with an ultra-modern iridescence was developed specifically for the collection. The result is beautiful, richly-colored, spiky armor, totally perfect for the woman of the 21st century.
