Viva Versace Versus: Christopher Kane's (Final) Spring Collection

You know what they say about all good things. This season is the final season of Christopher Kane's residency at Versace Versus. Womp womp. (But Jonathan "J.W." Anderson's first collection will be here before you can say "vinyl"!) Thinking on this changeover, it's impossible not to see the Spring/Summer 2013 collection as a perfect synthesis of all things Christopher and Donatella. The two designers say goodbye this season with an Italo-English sixties shebang. Imagine a fusion of Ungaro (sky-high hemlines and Crayola colors) and Mary Quant (those flower prints) but with signature Kane details, like draped necks and cutouts, and Versace stamps (as on this tee, left). Covered in chain prints, hearts, and sheer mesh, it's a beautiful, zany end to a beautiful, zany era.
