Describe your most memorable Mother’s Day with your mom.
I spent last Mother's Day on military service. I was away for three years in total, and it was the longest I've ever been away from mom. That was very memorable!
Describe your mom's style when she was younger.
I still remember my mother’s up-style hairdo, which was the trend during the 60s. She looked beautiful with that hairstyle.
Favorite item from your mom's wardrobe?
Her Burberry trench coat that she bought during the 50s. It's now too small for me but it's still my favorite. I think my mother influenced my love for trench coats.
Favorite memory of your mom?
She lives far away from me so I don't get to see her as much as I would like to. We speak a lot on the phone and these converations are already very precious memories to me. She has a sharp wit—she's like a comedian.
Favorite things to do together?
I like having a glass of wine and a good chat with her.
Favorite meal your mom makes?
Korean barbecue
Favorite fictional movie mom?
The mother in All About My Mother by Pedro Almodóvar. She gives the sincerest form of love.
