The Hester Street Fair turned four on opening day this month, once again giving downtown NYC a one-stop shop for delicious goodies! Along with favorites like Little Muenster and Luke's Lobster, a slew of new food vendors had our tongues traveling from Vietnam to India. Khao Man Gai added some Thai flavor to Hainanese chicken (can we call it Thainanese chicken?), while Chinese Mirch sold Indian-spiced buns and dumplings. With the sun shining and the DJ playing block party jams like "Pass the Dutchie," it was hard to say no to fresh cocktail-shaken lemonades from Lizzmonade and N'Orleans-style sno-cones served in Chinese containers. We also spotted Hester co-founder and friend of OC, SuChin Pak, who told us to drop by Hester Nights, the weekly nocturnal counterpart to the outdoor market at the Eventi Hotel. Consider our days and nights out filled!
