The last morning of LFW brought with it the ever-amazing Roksanda Ilincic show, held inside a gilded ballroom at the Savoy Hotel. The show's set designer, Gary Card, created an enchanting world with tall pastel pink wooden boxes placed around the walls of the ballroom. The blunt, minimalist pews provided further contrast to the rooms overall opulent setting.
This season, Roksanda experimented with color and texture in a way we've not seen before, moving away from her signature crepes and into leathers, furs, and PVC. As ever, the beauty was in the detail, seen in fur collars and hand-embroidered jewels. The color palette began with simple creams and pastel pinks, accessorized with brightly colored fur stoles, and eventually came full circle with a cleansing pastel pink. Silhouettes were simple and elegant: dresses were beautifully tailored with waist seams, pin-tucks at the bust, bias cut triangles across the waist, and V-shaped necklines at the back. Truly, Roksanda's finishing touches are flawless.
