Dance, Bear, Dance: J.W. Anderson SS13

Last year, my sister and I found some dancing bear socks on St. Marks Place in New York. I have been kicking myself (in boring white ankle socks) every day since for not buying them. So I am ALL about J.W. Anderson's Grateful Dead bear sweaters this spring. What are they doing in a collection inspired by crazy mothers and sprinkled with floral organza, mules for men, and headscarves? While I'm sure Jerry Garcia loved a bandana in his day, Jonathan's collection offers no easy clues for interpretation. All I can say is that it's pure genius. And beautifully crafted. Jonathan is well-known for his top-quality knitwear, and this season the intarsia knits are made from pure cotton by a mill in Scotland—which means they're super soft and the perfect weight for spring.
