OC x NYFW: Rachel Comey FW13

While the wigs were being trimmed backstage, the scene front of house before the Rachel Comey Fall/Winter show was calm, benefitting from the dim lighting and live, rumbling sounds of Blonde Redhead. The first set of looks were undeniably masculine, even a little retro, featuring turtlenecks styled under V-necks, loose and low pants, and brogues. From there, things got a little more femme, but remained demure. Dresses, worn with Mary Janes or tall boots, covered most of the body and hit below the knee, but thanks to Rachel’s astute tailoring efforts and some very well placed ruching, the overall effect was quite seductive. Rachel’s girl is in control and she means business.
