Over at London’s Somerset House something very special is happening. Esteemed fashion photographer Tim Walker is exhibiting some of his most memorable editorial images and props, for free! Titled Story Teller, the exhibit enchants with a grand set of captivating and cinematic images—each echoing English fairytales like Alice in Wonderland, Humpty Dumpty, and other fables of damsels in distress (dressed in the finest couture, of course).
The many prop installations heighten the dazzling effect of the exhibition. At times I felt as though I was wandering through a film set thanks to the giant snail loitering above the door frame, the skeleton cascading from the ceiling, the Spitfire plane spurting from the fireplace, and the 10-foot doll (the largest prop Walker has ever used) poised in the corner. Also striking are his portraits of Alber Elbaz and Alexander McQueen. Go and be enchanted!
