New York, Paris, and Milan make way for Seoul Fashion Week! This week, check the blog for the latest collections from our featured country of the year, Korea!
Today, Paris-trained womenswear designer Lee Suk Tae of Kaal e Suktae once again proved his mastery of structure and eye for detail with his Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Using white as his starting point, Lee applied traditional tattoo illustrations to the sleeves of blazers, mini-dresses, and voluminous tops. Other detailing that injected a little streetwear style into this otherwise sartorial collection included netting on sleeves and ties on worker caps. But this wasn’t all Lee had in store: super sporty zip-up cropped jackets followed, as did teeny-tiny shorts with contrasting pockets peeking out from below the hemline. The final portion of the collection consisted of bustier dresses prime for cocktail times (or should we say, Soju times)!
