Some people look at spray-painted markings on the pavement by construction sites and think nothing, LUCIO CASTRO, on the other hand, created an entire Spring/Summer collection around them. In addition to these fluorescent markings, the Brooklyn-based, Argentinean born designer was again inspired by film, specifically Teeth Smile by Roman Polanski.
The collection is all about easy-to-wear pieces in somber hues, accentuated by neon inserts of color. Natural fibers like linen, cotton, quilted leather, and wool complimented the Lycra and other synthetic materials used for the board shorts and swimsuits. Particularly striking was the bright red twill suit, styled over a grey polo, but it will be the chinos in khaki, olive, navy, and grey that will be your staples next spring.
