My good friend, the rad hairdresser James Pecis, recently took his hair out of his tiny bun––the same one I'm guilty of always wearing––to show me one of his styling tricks. Curling! We ran over to Eve Beauty Supply on Broadway, conveniently located near the OC office, to grab some fresh packs of foam twisty rods. They come in many sizes but we chose the smallest, which will give you more of an 80s perm effect (the larger size gives you more pretty-waves). Watch the video, get some packs of twisty rods from pretty much any beauty supply, grab a flat iron and your favorite hairspray, and experiment with a new look that will last until water hits it!
