Multi-hyphenate and fashion journalist KRISTOPHER ARDEN-HOUSER reports back to OC from Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Peter Jensen has carved out a reputation as a designer whose creations thread together mischievous humor and a celebratory approach to individuality. Based in London, though originally from Denmark, Jensen continues to show on the Copenhagen Fashion Week calendar.
For the SS13 collection, entitled 'Mick', Jensen cites Mick Jagger as his muse. It seems the designer was most taken by Jagger's innocent, boyish charms from the 60s—using corduroy, shirts, ties, and college sweatshirts as the main focal points. The collection was designed essentially as menswear but for both genders, drawing on the icon's personal style, which hinges on androgyny. Using graphic prints, crepe de chine, pink gingham, and rabbit-print leather, the collection is playful yet as Jensen said himself "very simple, but very chic." I most enjoyed the duality of the styling, further supporting the quirkiness of collection that never seems to stray too far from reality.

I love the pairings of these very similarly styled looks...
