Peekaboo, it's Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2012!

Say hello to herrinbgone 2.0! Alexander Wang's pre-Fall collection is in, and the first piece that caught my eye was the dissolving herringbone pullover. The sweater comes in a familiar chevron knit but with inset patches of sheer mesh! The look is a kind of "post-apocalyptic country casual"—the collection is about transforming classic shapes and old-fashioned prints into burnt-out, better versions of themselves. Other signs of Alexander Wang's certain genius include a featherlight cardigan with a layer of fine netting thrown over the top; draped jersey dresses that cover and show exactly what they should; and a leather pencil skirt with a panel of sheer mesh pleats running up the leg.
