This Saturday, Long Island City was awash with the sound of the UKG renaissance as Oneman and MJ Cole hit the PS1 decks, bringing the best British beats––and the weather––with them. Fluo decor by design duo Ian Collings and Gregory Buntain of Fort Standard included a backdrop of blazing tropical banners that seared against the grey skies.

Van Rivers kicked of this week’s show, followed by a roaring electronic set from Slava full of spluttering tracks that reverberated around the courtyard, ensuring that neither spirits nor sounds were dampened by untimely downpours. Next up, DJ Oneman effortlessly spliced new and nostalgic tracks laced with 2-step beats, as the clouds finally parted. Seamlessly, Sinkane jumped in with guitars, synths, and snares whilst the Fort Standard duo prepped their final party trick: At sundown, MJ Cole laid down his headline set; Buntain and Collins took their cue, lacing the courtyard with neon streamers. A euphoric finale for a day of ceaseless dancing, resurrected club classics, and some of the freshest electronic tracks.
