Another week, another drop of Brian Procell for Opening Ceremony's amazing vintage sportswear at our 10 GREENE STREET store. This week, Brian shows us a Vision Street Wear-esque tee from Anne Klein, a minty-fresh windbreaker from French brand Vuarnet, graphic tees from Versace and Cacharel, and a pager or Discman-ready Donna Karan vest!

"This adidas London Olympic sweatshirt is such a milestone in sportswear history. The loud combination of patches, embroidery, and appliqué is insane. Adidas created some of the greatest Olympic-themed sportswear of all time."
"In the 80s, music groups like NWA and Run-D-M-C were wearing these intricate and wearable works of art. The two groups hailed from two different coasts, so that gives you an idea of how big this gear was at the time. Wearing a flag is always synonymous with professional sports, in this case it also reminds me of punk fashion and how it that embraced the Union Jack."
"This Nirvana-era denim vest is covered in chenille DKNY letters, prep school badges, and collegiate insignias. These types of patches are traditionally reserved for wool varsity jackets. In this case, Donna Karan uses a sleeveless denim jacket, a DIY fashion staple in music genres like punk and grunge. The patches also seem haphazardly placed in clusters and overlap the way band patches and pins do on a punk's jacket."
"The vest is dramatically short, like a football player's shoulder pads. '93 was such a great year for sportswear."
"There's so much Donna Karan made decades ago that looks like it could have been made today. This vest is a perfect marriage of style and function. Perfect for someone active who needs to carry and use tools to complete their goal. It's also similar to what pro photographers wear when they're documenting major sporting events."
"I'm sure whoever had something like this in the 90s used the pockets to store things like their pager, camera, compact mirror, wallet, Discman, etc. We may not need so many pockets today but the aesthetic is such a big part of our culture."
"We’ve seen Gaultier reference boxing apparel in the past. This is a rad pair of shorts that perfectly resembles a boxer’s uniform. I really like the length and color of the oxblood silk. You can wear them high-waisted or low at the hip for a more casual look. Something interesting to note: the founder of Everlast is credited with inventing the boxer short."
"This Patagonia hat has a very similar aesthetic to a standard cycling hat. The brim is floppy and can be flipped up or down for aer
