"An Englishman Abroad" was the tagline for Orlebar Brown's spring presentation in London last week. While the setting couldn't have been more English—Mayfair in the pouring rain—potted palms and studly models in short shorts definitely made Friday feel like a vacation. Looking to famous British expats, from Sebastian Flyte in Morocco to David Niven at Cap Ferrat, designer Adam Brown created a holiday wardrobe of pastel polos, tailored swim trunks, and soft cotton suiting. This season, the classic OB shorts came in a custom print, a lattice effect inspired by quintessential English interior decorator David Hicks. Fittingly, they were displayed running up the walls, in waves of soft summer colors: orange, turquoise, and a blue the color of a David Hockney pool.
