LA's Got Talent: Ryan Heffington's 2nd Annual Recital

Over the past several nights, Ryan Heffington's dance studio in Silver Lake, The Sweat Spot, showcased the talents of its choreographers and dancers at Talent Show: The 2nd Annual Recital. Ryan and OC have been buddying up since 2010, when he choreographed and performed a routine at OCLA's Fashion's Night Out Bazaar.

This time, OCLA's Jenny, Kerri, and myself went out to witness Ryan and the rest of the studio's hard work and creative energy. The Lady Boys of Sweaty Sundays (of which our very own Adrian Gilliland is a member), boy romance on skates, self love in a trash bag, and a preview of the new Sigur Rós music video (choreographed by Ryan) were just a few of the amazing features. In addition to promoting dance in Los Angeles, the show provided a forum for artists, designers, stylists, videographers, and creatives to collaborate and build a stronger Eastside arts community.
