It's a brand new OC mixtape! This time around, we asked the Brit designer Christopher Shannon for his favorite tunes. See what he had to say below about his muscial medley, which includes a hip-hop Madonna remix, British 90s synth-rock-pop band Shakespears Sister, a little bit of reggae, and more.

"A lot of these songs, like those by the Mondays and Gary Clail, remind me of my mum around 1990, when she'd go out on the Madchester scene and mix with a lot of new people. I would come home from school and she would have music blasting out on the patio––sounds that no one had really heard before. (I remember the neighbors found it all a bit much.) When you listen to those songs now, the production sounds so good––everything sounds so tinny these days.
Recently, I interviewed Sinead O'Connor and I was listening to her last few albums. Her reggae album with Sly and Robbie is amazing, and "Marcus Garvey" is one of the many standouts. As for DB Boulevard, it never fails to uplift. When I go up north, I spend loads of time driving around listening to the local radio station with the dog in the back, and they still play this track on regular rotation.
I only got into Etienne Daho a few years back, which was strange because I'd always been a Saint Etienne fan but never made the connection. We used "Il ne dira pas" for the out music in the SS11 show. The intro is so good for boys to walk to." ––Christopher Shannon
