Most ladies would be lying if they said they didn't want their hair to look like Lana del Rey's. There's nothing new about the style, but that is the magic of it. It's just a classic that always looks good––a lovechild of Veronica Lake and Jessica Rabbit. There are a few different methods to achieve this look, but the simplest way to do it on your own is with hot rollers. Most children of the 80s have a set under the sink. If not, buying a fresh set at any beauty supply is a must.

It's important to prep the hair before you set in the hot rollers. You should blow dry in your favorite mousse or volume spray. If you have issues with frizz, address that before you put in the hot rollers. We are using the rollers to create body and bend; the hair should be completely dry before you put them in. The rollers on the front sections are being rolled toward the face.

Make sure your sections are not wider than the rollers. Try and keep the sections as clean as possible. Pull your sections up and off your head to create good tension.![]()
I bought a new set of rollers for this, and I found those that come with clips to be much easier to control––especially doing it yourself!

Let the hot rollers cool off completely before removing them. Adding a flexible hairspray helps too. This is a cute look for grocery shopping and running into people you know.
