An OC office favorite, Banh Mi Saigon on Grand St. makes bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwiches) with crazy-low prices that lure us over for lunch on the regular. Their foot-longs are served on fresh baguettes that are baked in-house every day, and everything on the menu is right around five dollars. Beat that, Subway! When Carlos and I visited this week, we ordered a chicken bánh mì for $4.75 and a veggie one for $3.25—that's lunch for two for just $8.00! The vegetable sandwich was sweet and satisfying, but I'd definitely recommend opting for the more flavorful meat option. No matter what, you can't go wrong here. Check it out and thank me later.
