Yesterday Transmission LA:AV Club, the 17-day festival at MOCA curated by the Beastie Boys' legendary Mike D, ended. The show featured a collection of visuals and audio ranging from video installations to sculptures and collages by 17 artists, including JIM DRAIN, Cory Arcangel, Mike Mills, Tom Sachs, Takeshi Murata, and Justin Lowe and Jonah Freeman. On some evenings, MOCA even took on a Night at the Museum-quality with performances by Diplo, Santigold, James Murphy and the like. It's a good thing I checked out the exhibition before it closed for good––the 3-D video installation by Ben Jones and John Pham was moving on multiple levels. Check the pics!
