The Tribeca Film Festival has begun! If you’re in the New York area from now until April 29, we suggest you head to any of the festival’s cinema locations to view all the shorts, narratives, and documentaries up for grabs. To mark the event, we will be featuring some of our favorite actors, writers, and directors from the festival.

With a beautiful soundtrack provided by Arthur Russell's estate, featuring previously unreleased tracks, Ira Sach's film Keep the Lights On, starring Zachary Booth, tells the story of two young gay men in New York. Beginning the story in 1997, Zachary's character, Paul, is in the closet and has a girlfriend when he meets Erik (Thure Lindhardt). His true sexuality is only the beginning of his duplicity. Losing the girl, Paul and Erik embark on a loving, long-term relationship that ultimately falls victim to substance abuse and secrets. This stunning narrative reflects, in the words of the director, "life as we have known it, as gay men living in New York City." The infectiously energetic Zachary made us all laugh when he visited the studio last week.
