Talking Heads: Winter Hat Picks

Every year, my granny used to knit my sister, my brother, and I special Christmas pompom hats, with secrets pockets stitched into the brim (so you could stash your pennies on the way to the sweet shop). This was exactly what I thought of when I saw Wommelsdorff's knitted hats, and it turns out they're made by grannies too! Anne Schramm named her knitwear line after her grandmother, who helps supervise the line's Berlin-based production, making sure that each hat is perfectly hand-stitched from the softest virgin wool.
