What began as Fuck Yeah Fest—a takeover of two of LA’s most popular music venues located in the Echopark neighborhood: the Echo and Echoplex—has grown into a full-blown two-day summer music celebration that caters to music fans of all types. From ex-punks to defunct indie kids and USC college students, die-hard music fans from all over the surrounding area came to enjoy this past weekend’s festivities. FYF is a place where you can join the circle pit or set the dance floor on fire—all while marching to the beat of your own drum.

This past weekend, Matt Brooks and I attended the 11th annual celebration and enjoyed style-stalking attendees—because let’s face it, music festivals are some of the best places to find a little inspiration. FYF is unique because it’s a cultural melting pot with a bit of LA flavor that you can’t really find anywhere else. It’s a meeting ground where bands such as Joyce Manor and Cold Cave can coexist with big names like Kanye West and Flume.

Because of the diverse lineup—and the fact that we wanted to know what FKA Twigs, Mac DeMarco, and Solange fans would be wearing this summer—we present to you a collection of sweet photos that will hopefully spark the FYF attendee inside of you.
