Trust's TRST is one of those albums we play in the office every day, and without fail someone will ask, "Who is this?! I love it!" Robert Alfons and Maya Postepski make up the somewhat shy duo that is taking synth pop to new and treacherous levels. I caught up with the band after they played two sold-out shows at the Mercury Lounge and Glasslands this past weekend, just before they jumped on a plane to SXSW, where they'll play a total of eight shows. Despite their crazy schedule, they found the time to make us a killer (and rather sinister) mixtape. Enjoy!

ZC: We play your album in our office pretty much every day––I think "Sulk" is unanimously the favorite track. What's yours?
Trust: We adore them all.

ZC: Almost every article about you guys uses the term "goth" to describe your music. Do you agree with them?
Trust: We're way more about Mariah than witches.

ZC: Would you consider your personal style as goth?
Trust: Not at all.

ZC: Who is your style icon?
Trust: Michelle Lamy.

ZC: If you could get anyone on the planet to be on your next record, who would it be?
Trust: Nicole Kidman as Virginia Woolf.

ZC: What are the most played songs on your iTunes:
1. Aphex Twin - #3
2. Brian Eno - Weightless
3. Slowdive - All of us
4. Moonlight Desires - Gowan

ZC: Favorite Twitter handle?
Trust: The photographer Kristie Muller's (@ballcity). My personal fave tweet: "hate when ur slathered in tanning oil and u do a scratch ticket and all the shavings stick to your skin."

ZC: And lastly, fill In the blanks: You can never trust someone wearing  UGGS   but you can trust anyone wearing  MODROBES .

Robert is wearing the komakino back print jacket in black and Maya is in the Alexander Wang geometric jacquard cropped shrug in heather black
