Each season, EYTYS manages to bring the high-end sneaker game somewhere it’s never been before. Whether it’s moving on to an elevated level with the re-introduction of platform sneakers, orflying running into outer space with a collab from artist Tom Sewell, it’s undoubtedly unchartered territory that we’re happy to journey onto.
This season, the Swedish brand takes us into the streets of Ukraine with a new collection inspired by the political climate in Kiev. Joing forces with visual artist Sasha Kurmaz, the classic Odyssey Sneaker and Mother Sneaker gets tagged with a graffiti-inspired custom print that touches on radical subject matter. Displaying major “F. U.”-isms such as “Democracy is watching you” and other quick sketches, the politically-charged sneaker manages to make its mark while remaining as comfortable as ever.
