Surreal And So Real: Delfina Delettrez Fall/Winter 2014

While the name Delfina Delettrez has become synonymous with the evil eye and decadent stones, the designer went the more refined and defined route for her Fall/Winter 2014 collection. After dipping into the furrier side of the jewlery spectrum with her Fendi collaboration last season, Delettrez tapped into her surreal sensibilities and created earrings, rings, and necklaces of a strikingly simple aesthetic.

For this latest line, Delettrez introduces a progressive collection with colorful precious stones at the forefront. The designer delved deep into the 1980s art world, even releasing Daniel Sannwald's video Gold Vein in conjunction with the collection. With checkerboard floors, sunset clouds, and vivid imagery accenting the jewlery pieces, these are gems that Louise Bourgeois, and even Magritte, would have stood behind.
