London Fashion Week threw a new challenge to Nasir Mazhar today: to put on a debut catwalk show for his Fall/Winter 2014 collection. The king of our favorite fashion week raves decked his girls out in trademark tracksuits—this time made from foil-like fabrics in shimmering tones of pink, blue, and gold. Although the looks were typically fierce—thanks to white furry cuffs and leg warmers—Nasir's girls had a touch of the feminine about them.
Beauty themes went in a South London direction with slicked back hair and dramatic cat eyeliner—reminiscent of the makeup of late Amy Winehouse. Although all eyes were focused on the clothes, Nasir made certain to not abandon his original millinery background before the days of designing ready-to-wear sportswear. The headgear returned in full force, complete with a trusty Nasir Mazhar pencil—this time in vibrant metallics and styles that recalled of masks. Of course, Nasir's black and white branding was heavily featured, and it seemed something of a message: Nasir Mazhar has indeed conquered the catwalk.
