Last night, a white walled loft in Soho was the site of OC alum Morgan Rehbock and graphic designer Romina Cenisio's presentation for their new collection of Zodiac inspired t-shirts, Astrology IRL Apparel. The energetic crowd swarmed the bar to get their hands on the delicious (and may I say strong) drinks made with fruity liqueur, champagne, and vodka. With jamz by DJ James K and DJ EDMily in the background, they cheered through an interpretive dance show of Astrology IRL-clad performers that involved everything from languid swaying, to simulated verbal disagreements, to wall-humping.
Morgan and Romina worked with a cast of friends to design, photograph, and choreograph the presentation for this series of long-sleeve tees featuring graphic art inspired by the traits of the twelve Zodiac signs. The shirts were also educational, with individual hashtags detailing each sign’s element, quality, ruling planet, sign symbol, and a brief description of the dominant characteristics.
With a regular astrology column for Dis Magazine and his own wacky Zodiac calendar (in OC stores and online!), Morgan is the undisputed authority on any astrological forecast. He certainly got me spot on: My tag declared Leos “the party people of the Zodiac,” among other things. Make sure to check back for when Astrology IRL Apparel’s tees hit OC stores next fall!
