Just In: New Opening Ceremony Handbags

My mother immigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1987, the same year compatriot Sinéad O'Connor's groundbreaking debut album The Lion and The Cobra was released. And I couldn't help but think of her seminal track featuring MC Lyte, "I Want Your Hands on Me," when I saw OC's new range of accessories. The collection of classic bag shapes, from that perfectly slouchy backpack to the structured crossbody purse, have now invaded our stores and our hearts. For spring, you'll find black and red leather alongside powder blue and electric yellow, in smooth and two-tone crackle finishes. The floral stud motif seen all over our Spring/Summer 2014 collection also makes an appearance. But the real reason we want to go mano a mano with these bags? The fantastic hand detailing on the straps and handles. As Sinéad said: Put 'em on, put 'em on.
